Becca has been active in the arts for over 40 years. She paid for art school by doing interior painting, so she has a solid background in the basics as well as the decorative aspects. In addition to a full-time decorative painting business, she also works with clients on a one-on-one basis, teaching them decorative painting techniques, and helping them with color decisions.

She has taught workshops at Cowl’s Lumber and Stonehouse Farm in Amherst, MA, and at Snow Farm the New England Craft Program, in Williamsburg, MA.

BECCA'S PHILOSOPHY:

“Everyone has their own look, which I try to capture on their walls; therefore, no two rooms are ever the same. I prefer the term “patina” for what happens on client’s walls—yummy backgrounds for their belongings and their lives. I’ve found that people don’t give themselves enough credit for knowing what they like. Often a color-consult goes very quickly, because the client has done a whole lot more research and thinking than they realize.

The most exciting and satisfying results have been from the collaborative nature of my work. The more input I receive from a client, coupled with the trust they have in me, the more successful the end result. I try to take the fear out of making decisions about color and application. A client's favorite (and often heard) comment in the end is: “This was FUN!” "
